Catfish and Crappie Action.....

Well, folks, some fellow hillbillies have been smashin' the Catties in the Susquehanna by Goldsboro. It looks like they got one heck of an evening bite, from just before dark till about 11 pm at night. One fella, brought in a 30 incher today and he says the smallest he caught was about 24 inches. He is using 4 ounces of weight to keep it planted on the bottom.

Everyone has been asking about the Crappie action on Pinchot. Well, let me just say, the local hard core guys are getting into some down by the damn, fishing the drop offs. Use slip bobbers with fathead minnows and/or wax worms. Most of the time they are in about 40 foot of water with the bait going about 5-10 feet on the edge of the drop offs. Most off the fish appear to be in the 12 inch range.

Stripper action appears to have slowed with not many reports of them caught, but I don't think many are really targeting them either. I wouldn't give up on them yet, if you want to try for them. Keep chuckin' those jerkbaits.
