Ice Fishing in FULL ICE EFFECT!

Hey everyone, reports are going pretty good right now. From what we are hearing, we are getting reports of up to 5 inches in the upper end of the lake, (opposite the damn). Anglers are reporting catching Largemouth, crappie and pickerel.

Some of the pickerel caught in years past have been impressive, and it appears as though this trend is continuing.

For the Largemouth Bass and Pickerel, use Large Shinners, they seem to be the go to bait of choice right now.

For the Crappie, stay with old reliable with the small shinners and fathead minnows.

Ice, Ice, and more ICE!!!

Well folks, the ice is formed and getting thinker by the hour. The upper end of Lake Pinchot (Cove by Rossville) has 4 inches on it as of 1/27/07. Parts of the lake are looking at about 2 inches.

It goes without saying, that please use caution and extra safety when ice fishing.

** These reports are from other anglers. Please check the ice thickness yourself and do not use these reports of ice thickness as the end all be all.

Fishing reports will be forth coming as the ice continues to thickin' up and the local anglers hit the rink!

Hey Y'all, the coldness is starting to finally set in and the winds are a blowin'. We don't have much to offer on fishing reports. However, Sean Taylor and a friend of his was out catching some nice smallies on the Susqy on 1/6/07. Check out the pics!
